Amber Benson, Meghan Camarena, and Michelle Boyd join Wil Wheaton for GLOOM on Tabletop

It would appear there is a new episode of Tabletop up.

The game this week is Gloom, which Boardgame Geek describes as:

In the Gloom card game, you assume control of the fate of an eccentric family of misfits and misanthropes. The goal of the game is sad, but simple: you want your characters to suffer the greatest tragedies possible before passing on to the well-deserved respite of death. You’ll play horrible mishaps like Pursued by Poodles or Mocked by Midgets on your own characters to lower their Self-Worth scores, while trying to cheer your opponents’ characters with marriages and other happy occasions that pile on positive points. The player with the lowest total Family Value wins.

It sounds awesome.

And Wil looks dead lech-y in the preview image there…

I own Gloom and it is great fun making up the Gothic storylines that justify the story points. Interesting seeing how in the video they edit around some of the less narratively interesting parts of the game (action cards for repeating turns, swapping cards, etc.).

I’ve been watching the latest series of Town Called Eureka and it is quite odd seeing Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day turning up. I think my silly old brain now has Wilw filed under People I Play Boardgames With rather than TV Actors.
